Week 10
Hey everyone!! Sister Traylor here:) The weeks seriously FLY by its crazy! I hit my 2 month mark as a missionary yesterday which was fun! I had a pretty awesome week :) I'm here in my area (Oquirrh stake and Oquirrh Point stake) until the beginning of November!! (that's when the next transfer is for us) So I'm pretty excited I LOVE my area and would love to stay even after that like its the best area and I'm finally getting to know everyone and building friendships and connections with them.
This week I felt more love than ever before, from my family & friends, my zone here (the missionaries around me), and from Heavenly Father :) I know He's looking out for me and I'm SO glad he's put people in my life that I need. I dealt with a difficult situation this past week and my zone took me out to get Boba drinks and pizza last Monday to cheer me up, my mom sent all my favorite things and favorite flowers, and lots of my friends who knew, reached out just to say something sweet.
This week was also SUPER busy! We did so much! So here's some of the highlights from my week:
-SERVICE!! We got to volunteer 2 days at this place called Tiny Tim's Toy Factory where they make toys and clothes for kids around the world who have never had toys (it's the sweetest foundation ever!) We made almost 100 cars total with the days we went it was SO fun I love doing things like that :)
-More service haha! We wrote tons of letters to a lot of the older people in our wards and struggling people and a few birthday ones too it was super fun and a good way to spend some of our free time :)
-Multistake Multicultural Event !!! Both stakes that we cover had a combined cultural event that was super awesome! There's so much cultural diversity here so everyone had a booth to represent their cultures. We had people from Tonga, Samoa, Kenya, Taiwan, Ukraine, Italy, Cuba, Belize, Honduras, Bolivia, Canada, Korea, and a TON of other places it was AWESOME! There were performances and food and so many people showed up, both members of the church and non members so that was super good
-PDAY (today!!) We went to target and that cured me I love target so much. and we got chick fil a and went into a few stores near by and saw tons of our friends and church members and most of our stuff today was paid for so which was so sweet. Several people tried paying for our Chick FIL an and the ones who couldn't (because it had already been paid for) gave us a gift card. We saw a homeless man outside and gave it to him and that was nice because we felt like we paid forward the kindness we had just received :)
I'm starting to get better at answering most of my emails so hopefully I respond back to all of yall soon! I love you all and pray for you daily :) Let me know if I can do anything for y'all!
p.s. enjoy the pics :)
