Week 11

Hey everyone! I probably say this in every email, but man the weeks FLY by! I blink and then boom its pday again haha! This week was pretty great, I love being a missionary:) I had a pretty cool personal experience this week where it really just dawned on me that this is exactly where I want to be and exactly what I want to be doing. I've never felt joy and fulfillment and love like I have as a missionary. Also I'm super excited for this coming weekend!! It's general conference and we get to go in person! I am so so so excited!

Here's some of this week's highlights:

-SERVICE!: we helped this old couple pull weeds from their garden and we were there for 2 hours and filled 4 huge garbage bags, and it still looked like we barely made any progress so we might go help again some time :)

-MUSIC!: me and my companion participated in a musical number with 12 other missionaries so we had practices throughout the week which were all super fun. A group of us played the Organ together (just for fun, not for that musical number) which was super fun because we made the songs sound super full and cool and got to play all the different parts at once (plus I got to see my best friend Sister Laoine again, she got transferred to a new area so we don't see each other weekly anymore, but we both participated in that musical so I saw her all week!)

-BESTIES!: we visit this family every week and teach a lesson, play games, help around the house and anything else there is to do and we've become really close to them. Their mom talks to us like she's our mom and their son messes around with us like he's our annoying little brother. We LOVE them and they have lots of fun pets like a snake, German shepherds, and a gecko/lizard thing that he let me hold this week. My companion is scared of basically everything that's alive so he ran around the house teasing her with it which was super funny

-COOKING!: I made dinner (today actually haha) while calling my family. It was just spaghetti so nothing complicated or special but it felt good making my own dinner (thats the first meal ive cooked on my mission) and learning new skills. Plus I made a goal with my companion to cook at least one new thing each week, so if yall have any easy/cheap suggestions for me to make next week I'd love to hear them!

I love you all:) thanks for all the support yall give!
