Week 14

Hellooo friends & family! It was yet again, another great week to be a missionary :) Luckily, this week was WAY better than the crazy rough one I had just had. And WAY busier! So many great things happened this week :)

(p.s. I try not to make my emails too long there's just always so much to say haha! so hopefully the way I organize it makes it easy to read at least most of it if it is too long, ill warn you in advance though... this email is long haha)

☆Baking/Cooking☆

I did keep up with my goal to bake/cook this week! I made cookies and more mini Brownies and Tarts too which tasted good all the missionaries in my zone like those a lot. I also made GREEN CHILE CHICKEN ENCHILADAS! and they were GREAT

☆Dare to stand ALONE☆

If you couldnt put together from last week's email... my companion got in trouble(and almost sent home) I love her and she takes good care of me, but shes not an obedient missionary and that can get frustarting. Soooo yeah I followed the rules last weekend and stayed with our STL's (sister training leaders) and she went to a wedding with her cousin (who wasnt allowed to go) and stayed there past 11pm. She was supposed to be home right after lunch time... and I was just chilling with other missionaries waiting for my companion and ended up having to sleep there with no extra clothes or pillow or bed or anything. I literally slept on the floor or someone elses house with makeup still on and no pillow or blanket or anything. But our mission President sent me an email after the situation saying he's sorry I dealt with all this and that he appreciates my obedience and diligence and that I have his complete trust and confidence. So that felt really rewarding after such a horrible weekend.

☆Zooey's Baptism!☆

Our 9 year old friend was baptized this past Thursday!!! And she got confirmed with the Gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday! That was my first baptism so I was a little nervous but SO excited! It all went smoothly which is what we prayed for and her family (who aren't at all active anymore besides her) attended and loved it and felt the spirit which was AWESOME ! The ward is working to help reactivate the family through this experience which is great!

☆Zone Conference!!☆

We had Zone Conference this past Thursday and it was SO good! I was part of the musical number and it was BEAUTIFUL i loved the song its called How Can I Be by Nela... something haha. I'll post all or part of it at some point on my story or on facebook whenever i get to use facebook again. I learned SO much at the conference and would email alllllll the things I liked and learned but no one would read it if it was that long haha so I won't. But I know I received direct answers to things I needed which was so awesome :)

☆Who Moved??☆

We go help and older lady study Come Follow Me once a week and we've been in the Old Testament in Isaiah (she's a few weeks behind the schedule). Isaiah can be a little confusing and hard to read. When we were studying and watching a video during chapters 50-57, a question was asked in the video we watched and it just really stuck with me. I literally can't even remember a single thing I read or what those chapters were about, but I remember that question:

"If you see that you're further away from the Savior today than you were yesterday, WHO MOVED? you? or Him?"

Obviously we know He never leaves us or abandons us. OUR actions and choices push ourselves further from Him. So if you feel like He's moving further away from you or leaving you behind, rethink your choices and behaviors and lifestyle and see what YOU'RE doing that's moving you away from Him.

I love God and I love doing His work:) Despite some hard/sad/challenging things I've dealt with in the short [almost] 3 months I've been out, there's no place I'd rather be. I find Joy in doing the Lord's work and I know that there's nothing more important I could be doing right now. I've seen crazy awesome changes in people's lives and especially mine from this Gospel. I love you all & finally did answer (hopefully) all emails I've been slacking on. if I missed yours I'm sorry.

enjoy the pictures :))) love yall
