Week 20
Hellooo friends & family! It was another GREAT week to be a missionary :) here's some of the awesome things I got to experience this week....
☆THANKSGIVING☆ -my first Thanksgiving on the mission was luckily amazing! we ate super good food at a member's house and played fun games with them and afterwards hung out with our zone and played more games like 2 truths and a lie which was hilarious because we all just said the funniest things from back home before the missions. i love my zone & i am very grateful for them! overall it was a super fun day:))
☆TEMPLE TRIP☆
-we got to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple this week which was awesome! I usually love taking questions with me to the temple, but lately I just haven't been able to really think of any. I just really wanted to feel peace and the spirit, and I DID. I didn't ever wanna leave like it was just so quiet and peaceful. it was beautiful. and our zone got some fun pictures together after and went to chick fil a which was super fun:)) the Spanish elders are our besties and we all hang out the most from our zone. And it's so funny because I know about the same amount of Spanish as the 2 elders who came out around when I did, so I fit right in and understand everything. One of the elders is from Juarez (the town RIGHT NEXT TO MINE BACK HOME) and we go home the same transfer.... crazy small world he's super cool. (he's the one who always let me win in chair soccer a couple weeks ago)
☆EXCHANGES ☆
-on Wednesday, I left the area for exchanges with one of our STL's! I got to drive for the first time on my mission so was super fun! & we actually met several people from El Paso, TX (my home)! So that was super cool and felt like I was in the right place at the right time and on Exchanges and in the right mission like everything was just perfect to meet those people who needed us & the gospel in their lives :)))
☆ SMALL & SIMPLE THINGS :) ☆
-lately I've been wanting to suddenly improve every single aspect of me and my life. which is crazy and not realistic. I've wanted to see improvements but set too many goals all at once so it wasn't really working. this week while I was studying, I found a quote that just really applied to me and I wanted to share:)))
“Just pick one thing. Pick one thing, work on that, and when you’re ready, pick another. That’s all you have to do.”
-Logan Steele (April 2022 Liahona)
by small & simple things are great things brought to pass :) be patient with yourselves and know that you're loved & that God is proud of you <3
