Week 24
Hellooo friends & family! I hope you all had a great Christmas!! The holidays made missionary work a bit slower in some aspects with everyone busy or traveling, but we still had an awesome week :) here's some of my week's main events:
☆EVANS BAPTISM☆
-Our friend Evan was baptized on December 22nd!! It was such an amazing experience! He had SO much support! The people attending filled up our entire chapel! He invited his family, cross country team, seminary class, some teachers, and lots of friends and members from our stake. One of his close friends was able to baptize him and that was such a special experience!
☆CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL☆
-On Friday & Saturday, the mission split for some Christmas devotionals. What was super awesome was that I got to see all of my past companions and even take a picture with all 3 of the companions I've had on my mission so far haha! My trainer is still my fav comp:) love you Sister Eteaki. The Devotional was super good I LOVE Christmas :))
☆CHRISTMAS SHENANIGANS☆
-Christmas Eve & Christmas Day we basically got some half day pdays? It was super fun we hung out with our district SO much. On Saturday we baked and decorated cookies and played intense chair soccer with our district that may have been too rough for me and slightly injured my legs..., ate dinner with one of our bishops and journaled our feelings about Jesus Christ. On Sunday we went to several sacrament meetings, called home, opened presents, ate dinner with our district leader and their members, played games as a zone, and had a mini testimony meeting as a zone. then today we had another half pday and we played pickleball (I'm still new to that but my district leader has been teaching me), and ate lunch together and played what they called "toxic uno".... basically uno with wack stupid rules that make it funny! I love the missionaries I'm around, they truly make serving the Lord and being away from home around the holidays okay.
☆MIRACLE☆
-Tonight (Dec 26th) we found a new person!! He's from Peru and moved here this week and one of the first things he asked upon meeting us was, "so how do I become a Mormon? I've been thinking about converting to the Mormons." We answered tons of his questions using 3 of our main lessons and he asked to meet again tomorrow and be baptized in January:))) literally first time we've ever met him! He's so sweet and my age so its cool seeing people convert at this age. It would be so hard but he's a great guy and we love him already:)
I'm still a bit behind on emails... SORRY! I will catch up asap I promise! I hope you had a great holiday season :)) know that you're loved.<3
