Week 29

Hellooo friends & family! This week was pretty busy but super good!! And this week i turned 20! So that was cool :) we celebrated my birthday wayyy too many times haha but it was super fun :)) Here's some of this week's main events...

☆TRIO TRAINING!☆
-me and Sister bealer were together for a transfer and now we are training Sister Machen. Super cute gal from Alabama. It's been a slightly awkward adjustment from the basics of expanding our living situation (the shower is much less available with 3 girls and that's not been fun haha) to the more complicated aspect of merging 3 different personalities and teaching styles and life experiences and managing 3 oldest sibling bossiness... but we all love each other and we love Jesus Christ and had an amazing first week together and are going to have a great transfer :)))

☆MIRACLES☆
-we were able to have a great busy week! One day we got in contact with like 4 or 5 potential people to teach/ progress further towards baptism that have felt impossible to contact before today which was awesome! We set up appointments for this week so hopefully those work out:) we also got to be there when our friend Jorge got the priesthood and that was so special. The spirit was SO strong and the joy and peace he felt was so touching. Most of us in that room cried (the happiest of tears) It's so special to get to watch people's conversion process towards christ. I had the privilege of being part of his whole process so far. With the Lord, me and sister bealer found, taught, and baptized (not us physically) Jorge and now got to witness him recieve the priesthood and prepare for temple. The gospel truly blesses individuals and families & brings so much pure JOY! I love this Gospel with all my heart <3

☆WWJD☆
-this week I studied & prepared for a talk I gave in our YSA ward yesterday based on the question "What Would Jesus Do?" (which went super good btw... made them laugh lots which is a big flex bc the ysa ward intimidates me a lot haha) I focused on Christlike Love & Forgiveness bc those can be difficult but are super important! 2 talks that I referenced were 'Eyes to See' (by Michelle D Craig) and 'Even as Christ Forgives You, So Also Do Ye' (by Larry J Echo Hawk) which are super awesome you should listen to them :) There are people in all of our lives who need to be seen, loved, validated, and forgiven. While it's not easy, it is essential & a commandment. It brings true peace. Grudges & resentment are heavy. Lay them down & let them go. Christ promises to give us rest (Matthew 11: 28-30). Forgiveness is one way that we can find that rest for our souls. Think about these questions (adapted from one of those talks I mentioned)....
•is there a person in my life who has hurt me?
•do i harbor what seems like fully justified feelings of resentment and anger?
•Am i letting pride keep me from forgiving and letting go?
Think about these questions and apply them to YOU. It's not easy, but I'm going to work on them this upcoming week too:) we all have people we need to love & forgive

I still havent answered emails... i'll get better... i promise!! Enjoy the pics I love yall :)))
