Week 31

Hellooo friends & family! This week was a long one! Both spiritually uplifting and physically exhausting, but always a great week because its another week spent serving Jesus Christ :)) Here's some of this week's main events...

☆ EVAN A. SCHMUTZ !! ☆
-This Wednesday we had our zone conference and Evan A Schmutz was there and spoke to us. He was here for our mission tour (honestly I don't even know much about what that is so don't ask me haha) and the things he said were truly inspiring and relevant. We used some of his councils and trainings and messages and applied it to our friends lessons and because of it, we were able to help someone decide they want to be baptized!! He talked a lot about repentance which is a super important thing! Repenting (changing for the better) daily is so crucial and really adds up as you strive to be better each day. It's something I definitely want to continue to work better at :)

☆ COMP UNITY <3 ☆
-Although it's been some interesting first weeks of the transfer in some negative ways, there's still so much good and things just continue to get better. My companionship definitely grew closer and meshed better this week which is definitely helpful when trying to work hard, stay busy, and have the spirit with us always especially as we teach. I love my companions they are sweet and talented and have strong amazing testimonies.

☆MIRACLES☆
-i mentioned this briefly earlier in my email but someone was able to decide they wanted to baptized after we taught a lesson to their family using council from Evan A Schmutz! We have been teaching 2 of his children for a longg time now and their baptism is scheduled for March 4. He hasn't been showing any interest in being baptized but fully supported his children's decision. This past lesson we had with them going over the Baptismal Interview Questions and really focusing on and testifying of repentance touched him. His face the whole time just looked so deep and happy and he's never paid that close of attention. At the end he asked us if those standards apply to adults too and asked if you had to be perfect or already completely ready before being baptized and we told him it's all about willingness and effort and asked if he'd like to be baptized with his children on March 4, 2023. He said yes :)

☆EPIC FAIL OF THE WEEK☆
-We had exchanges with our STL's on Saturday and that night I totally ate the ground outside Don's house haha. I slipped on this chunk of ice after walking down his stairs and went straighttt down. I hit the ground so hard I couldn't even move. Luckily I could talk and breathe so i just laid on my back and I just kept saying "I'm okay, I'm okay I'm okay" as my companions and Don stood over me trying to help me and assess the seriousness. Don helped me up and back into his house where I sat for a bit with a cold rag on my face until I could see straight and walk to be able to leave and go right back to missionary work haha. I have been sore these past couple days but luckily the fall wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been. I didn't break anything or hit my head so I consider myself lucky. Sore, but lucky. Plus it was an awesome dinner with Don he got us sisters roses. He is the best person ever we love him.

Enjoy my pics from this week! I love yall :)))

p.s. happy valentines day !! you are loved by me and especially by Jesus Christ <3
