Week 38
Hellooo friends & family! The weeks have been flying by! And.... it snowed again. it's literally snowing right now as I'm typing this. But anyways hopefully it stops snowing this week haha here's some of this week's main events...
☆FIRST MLC ☆
- this week was my first Mission Leadership Council (MLC) and it was so cool! Everyone has such good insights and ideas and testimonies I loved it :))
☆GOODBYE SISTER FULLER☆
-one of our sisters in our zone finally went to her original assignment in Japan this weekend! She served here for 2.5 transfers and I was in her zone 1.5 of those transfers haha! We had a goodbye lunch with her and her companions were sad to lose her but luckily she got to go to a session of general conference at the conference center before she left though so that was cool!
☆MIRACLES☆
-Erabelle is what I'd consider our miracle for this week. She is the most adorable little girl we started teaching recently. She's been taught in the past by missionaries but her parents made her stop because they said she wasn't retaining any of the information. Me and my companion (both elementary education majors) are pretty good at teaching kids and knowing how to work with them and her parents said she's actually learning from us. She can tell us what we taught her previously and remembers it. She drew us the cutest picture last night when we taught her and she says the most tender prayers ever. Her first prayer she ever said (after we told her some format/things you can say) was, "Dear Heavenly Father.... I love you. Thank you for food & water and my mom. Amen" it was ADORABLE and she went to activity days this week and told everyone she was getting baptized. We teach her twice a week but everytime we come by she says, "i missed you" as if she hasnt seen in years haha! I love her with my whole heart
☆GENERAL CONFERENCE !!!☆
-this weekend was general conference!!! It was amazing! I learned so much and loved all the sessions. Me and my companion were able to go to the actual conference center for the Sunday Afternoon session which was super fun! I loved hearing so much uplifting counsel on getting rid of contention, finding peace, Jesus Christ's love and grace for us, charity, and so much more. I'd love to hear yalls favorite talks from conference or what you liked or learned!!
