Week 71 Update

Hellooo friends & family! WILD WILD WEEK HAHA! SO. MUCH. CHANGE. (longer email than normal, please read haha)
here's some of this week's main events...

☆TRANSFERS!!☆
-sooo i got transferred out of the Taylorsville YSA stake :(( super sad. i was told to go to the Benion West Stake in a trio and on bikes! I was nervous but excited!! Then the next day my mission president and his wife told me they had some changes... they pulled me aside and said that they felt uneasy and wrong about where i was placed and that they had prayed and counseled together and decided on a new assignment for my last 4 weeks: BE AN STL IN ERDA! i was SHOCKED but stocked, so now i am back in the Tooele valley my last 4 weeks of my mission and as an STL in a trio which is fun! Our stake has 8 wards, 7 english and 1 Samoan ward which is cool! We have 5 companionships of sisters out here so we will be BUSY and already have been if you read the next paragraphs too haha!

☆DEPARTING ACTIVITIES☆
-on Wednesday i was able to go participate in all the departing missionary activities like the self reliance class, temple trip, and mission home sleep over! It was a blast! I was able to go because i am the only missionary going home in 4 weeks and they wanted me to get to have that fun experience with more missionaries! It was so fun! It was hard to go back and be a missionary again while they all went to the airport to go home after:( but also SO HAPPY that my time isnt over yet and i have another month of this:))

☆SICK SISTAS☆
-so picture this: its transfer day. You found out the day before that you’re changing plans and going to Erda to be an STL. You’re a little stressed. You pack all your bags all morning after getting no sleep because you stayed up until 3am with the departing missionaries (oops, dont regret it though it was super fun!) Then you help other people transfer and finally you make the drive out to Tooele. Then you get some calls on the way... one of the trainers is throwing up and super sick so she cant pick up her new missionary. you’re asked to go be the sick sister missionary's companion so her new missionary doesn’t come in to a sick house and do nothing her first couple days or get sick. You unpack your clothes in Erda and then repack a smaller bag for the next few days youll be living with the sick sister. Busy. Chaotic. Change. Then you get to the apartment and boom. Theres actually roommates here and one of them is sick throwing up too. So now 4 sisters here. You, 2 sick sisters, and one not sick sister. You help with laundry and making beds after messes were made and hear the lovely sound of throwing up in the bathroom. You sit with the not sick sister and pray you don’t catch the bug those other 2 caught... then the next day is zone council and you cant go even though you were supposed to give a training because you've been with the contagious sick sisters... well, thats how my first days of the transfer went, SO MUCH CHANGE. I felt thrown all over the place but it all worked out and i had a fun crazy week.

☆PROVERBS 3:5-6☆
-This was, and is A LOT of change and stress. I was studying the scriptures in the Celestial room of the temple after finding out I would be an STL again and in Erda and all the changes I was nervous and looking for some comfort or guidance. I flipped open the Bible and it opened to Proverbs. I read the first 4 chapters and MAN they're GOOD. Then I got to the popular scripture that's quoted quite often: proverbs 3:5-6. It says: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I've read this scripture many times and heard it many times but in the moment I read it, I really needed it. So all week, I worked on "Trusting the Lord" and rolling with the punches and just making the most of everything. It helped this week be fun and I wasn't as stressed. I know God has a plan for me. I don't know why my transfer was changed or why I've been in a temporary companionship the first couple days or why I needed to come out to a new area... but I know there's a reason and I am so excited to find out why. I can't wait for the miracles and experiences I will have out here my last 4 weeks :)))

Also it started snowing this week, I'm just a simple Texas gal.. I’m not built for this lol, pray for me. Anyways, enjoy my pics from this week, i love & miss yall :))) See yall in 26 days...
